5 Days Havana   (including Western Cuba day trip)

 

DAY 1–   Miami – Havana   (included Meals:  D)

• Meet and greet by your English speaking guide/driver.
• Change $ at airport bank (known as Cadeca)
• Visit Revolution Square, featuring Cuba National Hero Jose Marti Memorial (main venue for political speeches, Pope Mass and many other national events...)
• Visit John Lennon Park
• Check in
• Time to unpack, and get ready
• Welcome Dinner at Hotel National, enjoy a Mojito and the views from the nicest outdoors patio in Havana, you may want to stay longer having drinks and live music or visit Parisien Cabaret at the hotel (not included, you can buy tickets right there) (if you decide to stay longer after dinner you should take a taxi to go home or pay extra to your guide/driver).

 

Day 2 – Havana (B, L,)

• Visit Morro Castle to enjoy an outstanding view of Havana.
• Walking tour of Old Havana.
• Visit Plaza de Armas, time to shop for posters, books, old stuff, etc.

·         Lunch in the old city (included meal).

• Walk along Obispo Street, stop in stores and markets to check what is available, prices and quality.
• Visit famous Floridita Bar, home of Daiquiris, enjoy a Daiquiri (1 included) and live music in one of Hemingway’s favorites places, take a photo with his statue at the bar.
• Keep walking to Havana’s Capitol which is the largest and most impressive building in Cuba.
• Continue on your walk and be amazed by the Opera House
• Walk Havana’s Parque Central, where baseball fans meet to talk about baseball, you may join the “conversation”.
• Return to hotel
• Dinner not included-your guide will suggest several alternatives

 

Day 3 – Havana (B, L)

• Visit to the artist, Fuster – the Picasso of Cuba – very unusual neighborhood
• Tour Revolution Museum or Fine art museum, your pick.
• Lunch included at Sloppy Joe restaurant
• Visit small antiquities private store.
• Visit Craft Market, all made in Cuba, not China… talk to vendors, find out how they get the merchandise, their real professions, you will be surprised.    
• Visit Callejon de Hamel, enjoy Afrocuban Santeria Street Art by artist Salvador Gonzalez, and visit his workshop.
• Return to hotel
• Dinner not included.

 

 Day 4 – Countryside day trip (B, L)

• Day Tour to Pinar del Rio ,western Cuba
• Visit Soroa Botanical Garden.(Orchids)
• Visit Viñales, walk the town.
• Lunch in local restaurant. (included)
• Visit Mural de la Prehistoria, enjoy the best Piña Colada (1 included)
• Visit a natural cave, Cueva del Indio, enjoy an underground boat ride
• Enjoy an optional (not included) horseback ride, or a water buffalo (Tomas) ride.
• Late afternoon return to Havana
• Dinner not included.

 

 

 Day 5– Havana – (B, D)

• Free day, your chance to tell your guide/driver what time you want to start, what places you want to visit… he is there for you
• Farewell Dinner at Café Oriente (included meal) elegant food and wonderful music.

 

Day 6- Havana-USA

• Time to say good bye to Cuba, and your private guide/driver….
• Transfer to the airport, 3 hours before flight
